Where to head this weekend?

Looking for somewhere fun to take the kids this weekend?

Our team at Climbing Frames New Zealand have suggested one of the most loved playgrounds in the Lower North Island.

Kowhai Park, the children’s playground on Anzac Parade is unique in New Zealand for the variety of activities provided. Contruction began nearly 50 years ago and it has continually had new features added and the old ones kept fresh and interesting.

It is located on the banks of the Anzac Parade, Whanganui River.

Kowhai Park has some of the most imaginative playground equipment around.

There are several slides but none of them are conventional. There are turtles to sit on, toadstool picnic tables, Humpty Dumpty’s wall to fall off, rocket ships, mountains & even Miss Muffet.

For all your swinging needs there is a spider complete with swings for toddlers hanging from its legs. There is also a skating rink & waterplay fountains for hot days.

Not only that but there is also a large pumpkin with 2 BBQ’s inside, a fort with flying fox, mini-train rides, castle, antarctic playground and a massive skate/bike park.

Let us know if you have ever been before, or if you go this weekend, let us know what the kids say.
